The StoryAidEU project (2019-2021) aimed to transform healthcare education by incorporating storytelling as a tool to reveal the hidden narratives of patients, professionals, and caregivers, addressing challenges like aging populations and workforce shortages in Europe. It promoted a holistic approach through interprofessional collaboration, leveraging evidence that such education strengthens health systems and improves outcomes. By reviewing global educational tools, assessing humanism policies, and researching storytelling’s impact, the project developed a comprehensive curriculum featuring a coursebook, learning videos, and interactive lectures to bridge traditional and innovative educational models.
